A New Poll Proves Some of Us Failed Civics

The folks at the Monmouth University Polling Institute made a bunch of phone calls the last few days. Yesterday they released the results of their survey and proved once again a large chunk of this country is not only nuts, but completely ignorant of the nation's laws and constitution.

First, the usual suspects. 32% of respondents believe in their heart of hearts Joe Biden is president of these United States because of run amok voter fraud. Their only proof of this massive crime is Donald John Trump says it happened--well, him and the "My Pillow," guy. Trump's proof seems to be based on the number of people who show up at his rallies, both past and present. In other words, "A lot of people come out and cheer wildly for me, therefore I could not have lost."

That's right, it doesn't make any difference that there were multiple recounts and audits in multiple states, none of which found any wrong doing, or a shift in results. If Don Trump says he was cheated, so, by God, he was.

The poll went on to find 41% of the population thinks voter fraud is a major issue in American elections while 28% thinks it is at least a minor one. Only 29% believe voter fraud is a non issue. This might explain why a lot of us are fine with the rash of draconian voter restriction laws being passed in state legislatures across the land. This includes a bill in AZ introduced by republican representative, John Filmore which would cause the state legislature to go into a special session after each and every election. The legislature would review the election process and results then either accept the way it turned out, or overturn it.

If all this nonsense isn't frightening enough, 11% of those asked think there is probably a way, somehow, for Donald J. Trump to be reinstated to the presidency before the 2024 election. Another 6% think there is definitely a path for him to do so. 21% believe that while he probably won't return to the Oval Office, there might be a way for him to do so. Only 56% of those polled understood there is no legal avenue for Trump to regain power without another scheduled election.

For those outside that 56% let me explain. This is basic 8th grade civics: There is nothing in the constitution of the United States of America that allows such a thing to happen. Steve Bannon can brag at some rally in Arizona the, "decertification," process has begun, but he knows, or should know, there is no such fucking thing as a decertification process. It simply doesn't exist. And while a lot of people might want to believe things--I myself love the thought of a fat German worming his way down my chimney once a year to give me gifts-- wanting it to be true doesn't make it so.

What is in the constitution are a couple of paths to amend it. So if you silly sons of bitches want a legal way to decertify a presidential election propose a new amendment instead of running around thinking it can magically happen. Let me warn you though, it is a long drawn out process. One that would probably take us all well beyond the 2024 election.

My God, will you clowns please go do something useful, like get vaxxed up.

To paraphrase the famous philosopher, Mr. Bugs Bunny, "What a bunch of ultra maroons."

Jo Jorgensen and the Libertarian Conspiracy

Our boy Don Trump showed up in Florence, AZ this past weekend to whip the faithful up into a frenzy. Estimates are there were about 15,000 of his fans there. Trump, as always, seemed impressed by the number. He even claimed there was a 25 mile long line of cars outside, waiting to get in. To him it was further proof he couldn't have lost the 2020 election legitimately.

Admittedly 15,000 in attendance sounds like a lot during a mid term election year. Unless, of course, you realize in 2020 there were 3.92 million registered voters in Arizona.

During his harangue The Big Orange Guy expanded his conspiracy accusations to Georgia, Michigan, and even the January 6th failed coup in Washington. According to him the national media is scared to report, or show the actual size of that mob, as if sheer numbers legitimizes what they tried to pull off.

According to media reports, which are easily accessible, the pre riot crowd on Jan. 6th of last year numbered nearly 80,000. Again, an impressive number, but not quite the 250,00 people on hand to hear Martin Luther King's, "I have a dream," speech.

Yes numbers are relative and despite claims of nefarious Chinese ballots made of bamboo paper and voting machines there is another set of figures Big Don and his yahoos never mention. Donald Trump lost AZ by a little over 10,000 votes. One of main reasons he lost the state had nothing to do with mythical democratic operatives. It was all the fault of Jo Jorgensen.

And who, you might ask is Jo Jorgensen. Well, she would be the 2020 presidential candidate of the libertarian party. On election night while everyone was looking at the vote totals of Trump and Biden she scored 51,465 ballots of her own. Even the mathematically challenged Trump has to realize that number makes up more than the difference between him and Uncle Joe.

And the libertarian plot goes deeper that fateful night. Trump lost Georgia by over 12,000 votes, Ms Jorgensen received more than 62,000. In Wisconsin, the difference between Trump and Biden was 11,279, Jorgensen won the hearts and minds of over 38,000 cheese heads.

While Mr. Trump wouldn't have gotten all those libertarian votes it is pretty safe to assume he would have received the vast majority of them. Let's face it, most libertarians aren't inclined to vote for those big government loving socialist sons of bitches the democrats routinely nominate.

That's right, El Donald can scream fraud all he wants, but the truth is he lost three key states, not because of devious democrats, but rather the presence of Jo Jorgensen and the libertarian party on the ballots.

Man, ain't that a bitch.

Michael Protzman, Benito Mussolini, Donald Trump, and Jesus Christ

Michael Protzman is a wild and wacky guy. No, really--we're talking about seriously wild and wacky in every possible way.

He owned a demolition business in Washington state, but it went into bankruptcy a while back. Around the same time he jumped onto the social media site, Telegram where he started to make statements and predictions that even the late, Amazing Criswell would describe as fantastical bullshit.

When last seen he had organized a rally in Dallas, at Dealy Plaza where he predicted either John F. Kennedy, senior, or Jr, or both would appear and declare Donald Trump as the true President of the United States of America. When neither of the Kennedy's showed up he and a number of his followers adjourned to a Rolling Stones concert where a few of them claimed to have met the deceased Michael Jackson who was also attending, although incognito.

This week brother Protzman made news by getting a couple of his videos deleted from YouTube. The two videos, titled, "The Jesus Strand," announced to one and all that Mr. Trump is the nephew of the late, unlamented, Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini.

To some this might seem an odious connection, but according to Protzman, all is good because Benito was actually a decent guy. In fact he invaded Ethiopia and Libya simply to improve the living conditions of the natives. Not to mention the whole alliance with Hitler thing was okay because the Nazis were really innocent people who were just defending themselves from the dark and devious plots of the Jews.

Protzman explains the Don and Benny connection this way. Jesus and Mary Magdaline had four kids who went on to leave a slew of descendants. Among them were the no show Kennedys, George Patton, Abraham Lincoln, Mussolini, and yes, Donald John Trump.

These descendants, he says, are being hunted down like dogs by the Rothchild's, Rockefellers, and Illuminati through their DNA which has been obtained during Covid-19 testing.

While some might think Mr. Protzman is a true mystic, he has proven himself a blue collar sort of dude. In 2019 he was popped by the cops on charges of domestic violence and false imprisonment after he refused to let his wife leave their home. During a scuffle with responding officers he maintained the police had, "no authority over him." The home was subsequently foreclosed on.

Well, shit, as they say, happens.

So why are any of us concerned with this piece of human flotsam? Maybe because those two videos had over 300,000 views before they disappeared. Or because, depending on which source you read Protzman's Telegram channel has anywhere from 11,000, to 100,000 followers. He also has a web site which doles out financial advice, but only after you sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Mull that over for a bit as we all thank the good Lord for the internet.

Indeed, what a world it would be without it.

The Mainstream Revolt

According to Robert Pace, of the University of Chicago, there are 21 million people in this country who believe Joe Biden is an illegitimate president. That same society of delusionals thinks it is perfectly justifiable for true believers, such as themselves, to use violence to remove Uncle Joe and install Donald Trump as the chief executive--presumably for life.

So what sort of evil propaganda sources feed this dangerously demented world view? Well, Pace says polls show 42% of what he calls, "the insurrectionist movement," count on Fox, One America News, and News Max as their primary provider of information. A stunning 32% polled claim they usually watch networks such as CNN and MSNBC. Pace speculates they do so because outlets like CNN profoundly piss them off and they like being pissed off. Only 10% of the wild eyed bunch get most of their, "news," from right wing internet sites.

While that 32% seems high, Brother Pace pointed out a another set of stats which seemingly reinforces the notion the Trumpist mob is more than crazed militia dressed in camo playing with guns on the weekend.

Of the 700 plus rioters arrested for invading the capitol not quite a year ago over half hold down good paying white collar jobs. We are talking about business owners and professionals such as lawyers and doctors. Only 7% of those popped are unemployed and a mere 13% are what you'd call members of terrorist organizations like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.

The one true constant, Pace pointed out, is racism. He described it as, "the driver," behind the violent discontent. He pointed out the majority of those busted came from counties Biden largely carried in 2020--counties containing large cities where the white populations are shrinking and minorities are growing.

To these besieged white folks that whole, "race replacement," shit seems real. Or, to paraphrase a line from a movie, "They're coming to get you, Barbara."

It would be easy to blame all this nonsense on Donald John Trump. In truth, however he is simply the end product of a disease that has infected the nation since day one,

Before he was done Robert Pace described the insurrectionist movement as, "mainstream." Indeed those werewolves howling on the capitol steps aren't being manipulated by a bunch of out there right wing radicals in the media, or anywhere else. They were on those steps because the face of America is changing and they just can't handle the reality of it.
